Description
An account of the resource
Crews shot down over enemy territory faced grave danger. If they survived Airmen hoped to evade capture using their escape kits (which included a silk escape map, foreign currency, a mini compass, and more) or with the help of the Resistance. But more often than not, enemy ground forces were hot on their tails. If captured, airmen became prisoners of war in German camps where conditions were harsh. But airmen kept themselves occupied in creative and impressive ways.
